My surgery was botched by the physician, nearly ending my life, and the hospital's standard of after-surgery care was deemed inadequate. James H. Wood was hired to represent me in the resulting lawsuit against both parties. During the year spent developing the case, Jim constantly exhibited his vast experience, his superb knowledge of the law, and his skill at developing strategy. Throughout this process, he made certain that I understood everything, and he actively solicited my input on evidence, witnesses, and strategy. He wanted me comfortable with it all. The trial was scheduled, but the doctor, faced with overwhelming evidence against him, settled the suit satisfactorily. The hospital, with a reputation of never settling, also capitulated with a settlement.
