Attorney

Experienced Albuquerque Attorney

One of Ty's favorite quotes is:

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Ty Wood graduated cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2014. During law school, Ty served on the Editorial Board of the New Mexico Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant for Professor David Stout’s first-year legal writing class.

Ty also clerked for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and clerked for the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender. After graduating from law school, Ty joined the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender as a Deputy State Public Defender, where he embraced the Office’s mission of fighting for the rights of the underprivileged.

Ty loved working as a Deputy State Public Defender, but he could not pass up the opportunity to work with his hero, mentor, and father, Jim Wood. As an attorney with James Wood Law, Ty continues to zealously advocate for the rights of the underprivileged as well as those who have been wronged by corporations, insurance companies, and others.
