Aimee Martuccio Whitsell graduated with honors in 2001 from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, with a double major in History and Philosophy. She earned her JD in 2004 from University of New Mexico School of Law. During law school, she served as an officer for the Veteran’s Association, completed an externship with the Office of the Second Judicial District Attorney and practiced in the Southwest Indian Law Clinic.
After law school, she began her career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial District in Sandoval County, where she prosecuted violent crimes, sex offenses, and high profile felonies. Ms. Martuccio then practiced civil defense from 2008 through December 2016, primarily focusing on medical malpractice defense. Her focus on medical malpractice defense included work as both as a litigation attorney and an advocate for a large medical malpractice insurance company. Ms. Martuccio joined the Law Firm of James H. Wood on January 1, 2017, zealously representing patients harmed by medical negligence, while drawing from her unique experience in medical malpractice law.Ms. Martuccio lives in Corrales, NM with her husband and children. She is a first generation Italian originally from Western Pennsylvania, life-long Steelers fan, self-proclaimed Old West and Billy the Kid aficionado, and an animal lover.
