Neelam has been the office manager and head paralegal at the Law Office of James H. Wood since February 2012. She has seen the firm grow from only herself and James representing a handful of clients, to four attorneys and five paralegals representing many diverse clients and cases all over New Mexico.
“I consider myself fortunate to have a team of very smart, very dedicated people to work with every day,” Neelam says. “We have different responsibilities that all focus on a common goal: to give our injured clients the opportunity to stand up for themselves. I consider it our job to level the playing field for our clients.”
Neelam was born and raised in Albuquerque. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico with her Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Neelam decided she wanted to take a break from journalism. She worked for a few years in social services and education, and eventually landed at James Wood Law.
Neelam studied German and traveled around Germany for a month after she graduated, including a trip to Oktoberfest. She loves watching stand-up comedy, attempting to grow her backyard garden, and spending time with her friends and family.
